Military Expert Palin: Is Libyan Conflict a ‘SquirMish?’ (Video)

Filed under: Health Care — Nancy @ 9:58 am -0700

(ChattahBox Political News)— When is a military conflict a “squirmish?” Answer? Never. Tell that to the former half-term governor and intellectually challenged Sarah Palin. While offering her word salad, unintelligible response to President Obama’s speech on Libya, military expert Sarah took issue with the labeling of the conflict. She wondered if it was not a “squirmish,” as opposed to a skirmish apparently. And this woman seriously thinks she is presidential material?

All of us, at one time or another, unintentionally mangle the English language. But Palin has taken it to an art form. She not only regularly mispronounces basic words, she even makes up new ones. Remember “refudiate?” Palin also has trouble saying the word nuclear. And she fouls up names too. She thought the former top general in Afghanistan, Gen. David McKiernan, was someone she called Gen. “McClellan.” And according to a former aide, she regularly referred to some guy named “Milt” Romney.

It’s enough to make a person squeamish.

There are two types of ignorant people in the world. The first group knows they are ignorant, the second group doesn’t. Palin falls into the latter group. And not only does she possess a complete lack of self awareness, she doesn’t care. Being dumb just gives her more street cred with her know-nothing tea party followers.

Palin made her latest assault on the English language during an appearance on Fox News’ On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.

Palin asked: Do we use the term intervention? War? Do we use ah, squirmish? What is it?

Well, if she took a break once and a while from her right-wing Fox News controlled bizzaro world of stupid, she would know that the Libyan conflict is an international military action to enforce a UN resolution imposing a no-fly zone over Libya.

Worse than mispronouncing the word skirmish, Palin mangled the facts. She complained to Van Susteren that Obama’s “squirmish” is costing American taxpayers $600 million per day.

“And that’s the $600 million dollar-a-day question that is being asked now because that’s the cost incurred by Americans as we support the no-fly zone, which, of course, the no-fly zone, the intervention or enactment is turning into more than that,” uttered Palin incoherently.

Wrong again Sarah. The Libyan “squirmish,” in the reality based world, actually cost $600 million for the first seven-days. Palin exaggerated the cost by a whopping 700 percent.

Apparently, she has trouble with math too.
