Going through menopause is no picnic. The obvious or common signs of menopause often pose difficult challenges. Most women report the treatments they’ve tried either took too long to take effect or never worked to begin with. Women who’ve already gone through menopause may irritate you with their advice especially when you didn’t ask for it. You pray for the day when you go deaf so you won’t have to hear everyone’s advice. Lack of emotional control is to be expected when experiencing menopausal symptoms. Without a doubt we are all thankfull for the treatment options available now. When you discover one treatment doesn’t work for you don’t fret there is likely more. Here are a few menopause treatments that you might not yet have tried (but that have been proven to be effective).

The right clothing and a regular exercise routine can help reduce the intensity of those personal heat waves. Dressing in layers helps handle the sudden, uncontrollable rush of heat many women experience. Exercise is proven to increase necessary endorphin production allowing you to remain in controll of your emotions during hot flashes. Hot flashe causes that can be identified as having a trigger cause have been reported by women nation wide. Avoiding the causes of your hot flashes is necessary to ward them off. A variety of women have described their triggers as being caused by food.

Yoga, whether or not you want to believe it, has been proven an effective menopause treatment technique. Studies have shown that women who regularly do yoga experience a decreased amount of hot flashes. The same studies show that the hot flashes yoga practitioners do have are not as intense as those who do not do yoga. Yoga is also a very effective menopause treatment because, in addition to helping the body physically, it can help keep a woman’s spirits raised.

Using black cohosh has been said to have benefits although inconclusively. Using black cohosh during initial menopause stages is said to decrease drastically the intensity of menopause symptoms. The severe side affects of black cohosh have been seen in long term users to include heart, vision, nausea, headaches and dizziness to name a few. If you do decide to try this treatment talk to your doctor about it. To avoid the above side effects do not take black cohosh for more than six months.

Menopause treatments have tripled over the last two or three decades. It is a well known fact that every woman will have different symptoms than her female counterparts. It can be difficult to determine whether or not treatment is even necessary for each case. One important thing to remember is you are not alone. The vast amount of treatments available are bound to make the change easier to endure.
