Negative Effects of Sex Change Surgery

Even if the sex change plastic surgery has successful result, it inevitably has some negative effects.

Firstly, after sex change, the sexual organs are different from the natural ones. Secondly, the function is comparably worse. Although the patients generally could experience their sex life, some males with inadequate hardness of cartilage in nature, so the penis is not easy to make women satisfactory. Thirdly, it needs an adjustment period. As the patients just finish the sex change surgery and locate in social “brink” state. During this transitional stage between men and women, it needs a long period to accommodate the family and surrounding crowds.

Moreover, in order to keep a certain degree of estrogen or androgen levels to prevent a “neutral” people after the sex change surgery, the patients need long-term hormone therapy. “Male-to-female” patients have the potential to cause disease in vein, liver dysfunction and even cancer. “Female to male” patients could probably suffer from higher blood pressure, blood lipid, acne, coronary heart disease, obstructive pulmonary disease, sleep apnea syndrome, liver dysfunction, as well as diseases such as breast.
