Nigerian Religious Riots Continue With 150 Believed Dead

Filed under: Health Care — Nancy @ 6:49 pm -0800

Nigeria (ChattahBox) – Religious rights between Christians and Muslims in the Nigerian city of Jos continue today, with an estimated 150 so far dead, and the number rising.

The count is only from the Muslim side, as religious leaders prepare the dead for burial. No report has been given to verify this, or to give the number of Christian dead.

Other reports have said that at least 192 bodies have been counted since Sunday.

The violence has gotten so bad that thousands have had to flee their homes to escape the death and destruction.

A 24-hour curfew has been imposed by the government, and military forces have been expelled to enforce it.
