(ChattahBox Political News)– Crazy right-wing Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) is at it again. That is, taking to the House floor to spew some crazy talk in front of the C-Span cameras. This time, the always-unhinged Gohmert is pushing a bizarre conspiratorial tale that wouldn’t even past muster over at the fevered swamp of WorldNet Daily. He warned his gullible tea party followers last night to be very, very afraid of President Obama’s nefarious plot to “deplete the military,” in the hellscape of Libya, so that Obama can then unleash his private army of socialists made possible by ObamaCare’s government takeover of our freedoms. Is it time yet to periodically subject lawmakers to mental health screenings?
“The buffoonish paranoid lawmaker, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) is bringing back one of his greatest hits—terror babies. But this time, Gohmert has added a little something extra to pack more of a terrifying conspiratorial punch to his cockamamie ravings. At this very moment, jihadist terror babies are plotting with an unholy alliance of progressives and Muslim terrorists to destroy America. Why? Because the leftists and radical Muslims hate the baby Jesus and really, really hate conservatives like Gohmert and his tea party minions.”
Somehow, Gohmert manages to continually top himself, by raising the crazy bar even higher. Only Gohmert, could come up with a wild paranoid conspiracy theory that joined right-wing falsehoods about ObamaCare to a military operation in Libya.
GOHMERT: It’s a bad bill. And then when you find out that the prior Congress not only passed that 2,800 page bill with all kinds of things in it, including a new president’s commissioned officer corps and non-commissioned officer corps. Do we really need that? I wondered when I read that in the bill. But then when you find out we’re being sent to Libya to use our treasure and American lives there, maybe there’s intention to so deplete the military that we’re going to need that presidential reserve officer commissioned corps and non-commissioned corps that the president can call up on a moment’s notice involuntarily, according to the Obamacare bill.
Of course, there is no such thing as a nefarious private Obama army in the Affordable Care Act. As pointed out by the Political Correction’s Matt Finkelstein, “Despite the claims in right-wing chain emails, the health care law did not give Obama some sort of “private army.”‘ The law merely expanded a component of the Public Health Service to be on call for public health emergencies.
