The Common Side Effects of Liposuction Surgery

The uneven surface of the skin is related with liposuction technology, taking too little and too much all will have an adverse effect. It shall generally set aside 0.5 cm thick or so for subcutaneous fat; in such way, liposuction surface will be smooth while the detumescent period is shorter.

Although the formation ratio of fat embolism is quite small, physicians must maintain a high degree of suspicion; if patients have the status of shortness of breath, palpitations, fever, and even sense of confusion, they should immediately identify the reasons and start treatment. Fat embolism preventive measures include proper body fluid complementarity, getting out of bed as soon as possible after the operation, and other activities.

Common Methods of Liposuction Surgery

Syringe liposuction plastic surgery:
It is a simple method of operation, which uses inside negative pressure in injector to suction the adipose tissue out of the body. As the smaller diameter needle of a syringe, the suction speed is relatively slow, while the suction amount is less. However, less traumata of this surgery are its merit. This surgery is especially suitable for small-scale liposuction, such as: chin, face, etc.

Electric negative pressure liposuction:
The surgery is not complex; the anesthesia method uses expansion anesthesia technology. As the suction caliber is not very large, the surgery causes little damage on nerve or blood vessel. As the smaller trauma, patients take 1-2 days’ rest, or even have no rest. Unless there are many suction parts, patients needn’t stay in hospital; moreover, there leaves no obvious scars after surgery.

Ultrasonic liposuction plastic surgery:
Ultrasound liposuction was firstly adopted by a scholar in Italy in 1992; its principles are to transfer electrical energy into high-frequency energy through ultrasonic generator, which produces over 16 kHz ultrasonic. Ultrasonic liposuction has certain advantages: for example, it selectively damages fat cells, while has no damage on surrounding tissue, so it makes faster recovery after surgery. It only removes liquid ingredients in adipose tissue, so cell membrane, stroma are not damaged; therefore, the skin is more smooth after recovery. Moreover, the trauma of the surgery is relatively small, which is one of the advantages, but the surgery has some drawbacks: for example, low efficiency which causes patients fail to bear. In addition, the cost of expensive equipment is also its shortcomings. For these reasons, it only applies in small amount of liposuction, while high-volume liposuction shall uses electric negative pressure liposuction.

Electronic liposuction plastic surgery:
Electronic liposuction is a new technology in 1990s. The high-frequency electric field produced by this equipment has specific damage on body fat tissue, while there is little injury on r blood vessels, nerves. Therefore, there is less blood in operation, while the operation is implemented by two small and thin electrodes, so the wound is very small and needn’t suture. However, the surgery expense is relatively higher.

Sum up: as the matter of fact, the above methods are not all absolute good; so there always appear that many ways co-exist to make the plastic surgery.
